Membership of the Western Association is at present approximately 3,600. By joining this Association, you become a member of the British Transport Pensioners' Federation, which, with this Association's support, continues to achieve many improvements to Travel Facilities and pensions. Welfare Work in the Western AssociationIn addition to supporting the general aims of the Federation, the Western Association also has a region-wide network of volunteers, who provide advice and assistance on welfare matters (previously provided by the British Railways Board) - through these volunteers, the attention of those who control welfare resources can be drawn to cases of need.
