British Railways Board Headquarters Retired Staff Association

Outboard

Birthday Appeal

If you are a member of the BRB HQ Retired Staff Association and you attain the age of 80, 90 or 100 during 2008 (or if you know of such a member), please contact the Branch's Membership Secretary,
Derek Fox, giving your date of birth.

A message of congratulation will appear in the nearest edition of Outboard.

"Outboard" is the quarterly newsletter mailed to all British Railways Board Headquarters Retired Staff Association members.  For those members who are unable to attend quarterly meetings of the Association it ensures they are kept in touch with the Association's work and activities.

Each issue, usually comprising between 8 and 16 pages, incorporates the minutes of the most recent meeting, together with latest news about railway pensions and travel facilities, social and outdoor activities and the date of the next meeting.

Reports are also included, giving the latest news from the British Transport Pensioners' Federation (to which the Association is affiliated) and the National Pensioners' Convention (to which the BTPF is affiliated).  The NPC is active in all matters concerning state pensions and benefits for all pensioners.

The issue following the Association's AGM includes the Committee's Annual Report and the Annual Accounts and Balance Sheet.
