Meetings
The Association's Annual General Meeting is held in April each year.
General Meetings are held quarterly and the dates for 2009 are:

| Friday 23rd October |
Meetings are held in a room in MacMillan House at Paddington Station and usually commence at 1:30 p.m. and finish at about 3:00 p.m. Attendance is normally good, with numbers around 80.
At most meetings a talk is given, often illustrated by slides, with a wide range of subjects such as:
| The history of GWR locomotive names |
| South Atlantic Islands |
| Austrian Lakes and Mountains |
| Wainwright and the Lakes |
| Railway Convalescent Homes |
| Ceremonies in the City of London. |
On some occasions more serious matters are addressed, such as taxation and the work done by the Pension Fund actuaries, with speakers coming from the organisations concerned.
